Make Me Up !! was started in September, 2006 with the idea that women would prefer to buy quality makeup and skin care in an intimate boutique setting. Located in the heart of the historic Magazine Street Shopping District, we offer a wide variety of name brand cosmetics and skin care products. Our goal is to maintain clientele through superior service.
We believe in professionalism . . .
all of our artists are professionally trained, many are licensed by the state of Lousiana in esthetics (skin care) as well.
We believe in offering something unique . . .
our makeup lines are “boutique” lines, cosmetics rarely found in department stores or national chain stores. Our services are limited to makeup and skin care because this is what we do best.
We believe in philanthropy . . .
having participated in fundraisers and events including Divabetics, Cystic Fibrosis Fashion Show, Junior League Holiday Shopping Event, Hands On New Orleans for Second Harvest Food Bank, and product donations to Haiti following the earthquake there.
We believe in continuing education . . .
with attendance at industry shows such as The Makeup Show in New York and seminars held locally by national artists and representatives of the lines we carry.
We belong to organizations including the Wedding Professionals Guild, Production Hub, Project Wedding, The Knot, The Wedding Favor, Go Local and Stay Local. We can be found on Facebook and Twitter, in New Orleans Bride Magazine and on NewOrleansOnline.com (New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corp), Louisiana Wedding Style Blog, Louisiana Film and Television (louisianaentertainment.gov), GatheringGuide.com, and Film New Orleans.
The Local Buzz
It is a fact that in the year 1820, every resident of New Orleans was related to every other resident of the city! While this may not hold true today, it is a well known fact in New Orleans that it is who you know that counts so much in business. Below are some of our favorite connections in NOLA . . .
